China Resources Holdings started to invest in
large infrastructure and utilities in the 1980s
by cooperating with other Hong Kong consortiums,
aimed at spreading the investment risks and earning
stable long-term returns. Today China Resources
has shifted its focus onto the public utilities
more closely related to the people's livelihood,
mainly including business of electricity and city
gas business. The profit centers engaged in infrastructure
and public utilities include: China Resources Power
Holdings Ltd., China Resources Gas (Group) Limited
and China Resources Development and Investment
Co. Ltd.
