Human-oriented and contribution to society
In 2006, the 18 profit centers under China Resources Holdings created GDP amounted to RMB 22.4 billion yuan with payment of total tax of RMB 6.2 billion yuan, accounting for 27% of GDP and wages of RMB 4.3 billion yuan. The contribution to the society (wages + tax) was totaled RMB 10.5 billion yuan, accounting for 45% of the GDP created by China Resources enterprises. By 2006 the enterprises have recruited about 210 thousand employees.

China Resources also actively sponsors various activities of public welfare. According to incomplete statistics, the enterprises donated money and goods with total value of exceeding RMB 18.5 million yuan in major occasions of 2006. Among them, the donation to education was about RMB 6.4 million yuan, to the disaster relief and poverty alleviation about RMB 4.4 million yuan, to the environmental protection projects about RMB 3.2 million yuan, and to charity, medical care, poverty relief and other utilities about RMB 4.6 million yuan. A series of large activities sponsored by China Resources enterprises have received good public response such as "China Resources helps you studying in Peking University and Tsinghua University", "China Resources Education Fund" in Hebei Province, and "Snow Beer, Courageous Expedition". In recent years, China Resources Holdings and its affiliates have made donations to the society worth a total of over RMB 100 million yuan to show their support to public welfare activities in all respects.
