Resources Logic Limited (CR Logic)
 CR Logic was listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong on 7
November, 1994 (Stock Code: 1193). Its principal business activities
comprise manufacturing of integrated circuits (IC) and compressors
for consumer electronic products and residential air-conditioners
respectively. China Resources (Shenyang) Sanyo Compressor Co.,
Ltd., a subsidiary of CR Logic, is currently one of the top-four
residential air-conditioner compressor manufacturers in the Chinese Mainland.
Semiconductor is another core business of CR Logic. China Resources
Microelectronics (Holdings) Limited (CR Microelectronics), a
wholly owned subsidiary of CR Logic, is China's leading manufacturer
and supplier of ICs and discrete devices for consumer electronic
products. The company is principally engaged in designing, fabrication
and packaging of ICs and discrete devices. CR Logic endeavours
to become the leading technology based consumer product oriented
manufacturer in the PRC.
From an Office Furniture Manufacturer to a Listed Technology-oriented
Manufacturing Company -- CR Logic's Roadmap to becoming a flagship
unit of the CR Group.
In 1993, China Resources Enterprise, Limited (CR Enterprise) acquired
30% stake of Logic International Holdings Limited (Logic International),
an office furniture manufacturer and distributor, with a consideration
of HK$30 million. Logic International was subsequently listed on
the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1994. In 1996, CR Enterprise further
invested in Logic International and became the controlling shareholder.
In June 2000, CR Holdings announced its restructuring plan that
includes injecting technology related assets into Logic International.
Four months later, CR Enterprise transferred its entire interest
in Logic International to CR Holdings.
In January 2001, CR Holdings injected three businesses namely (i)
Compressor; (ii) Semiconductor and (iii) Information Technology
into the company. The name of the company was also changed to China
Resources Logic Limited.
In September 2002, CR Microelectronics, acquired the entire equity
interest of Wuxi Huajing Electronics Co., Ltd. The acquisition
enabled CR Logic to obtain a sizeable manufacturing platform in
China and further strengthen its market position through expansion
in market share.
In January 2003, CR Logic realigned its business strategy and focused
on manufacturing semiconductors and air-conditioner compressors.
Its non-core IT Business was therefore disposed and transferred
to CR Holdings. CR Logic has successfully transformed itself to
become the listed technology-oriented manufacturing flagship of
CR Holdings.
